I’ll be participating in a panel called, “The Funny Pages: Comedy in Comics” with Lisa Hanawalt, Bob Fingerman, Michael Kuperman, and Emily Flake, and moderated by Alex Zalben this weekend (Saturday, November 6th) at the King Con convention in Brooklyn. I’m featured in this new book coming out called Creating Comics! about how comic artists work. As part of the promotion, I’ve agreed to give a brief talk and slideshow about my working process with artists R. Sikoryak and Keith Carter at The Strand in NYC tomorrow, October 14th, from 7 – 8pm. Drop on by if you’re in the neighborhood!

Heya! So, in the next week and a half, I’ve got some stuff lined up for my Italian promotional trip. I’ll be in Ferrara for the Internazionale Festival, teaching a workshop on October 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. While I’m in Ferrara, I’ll be doing a book signing on Saturday, October 2nd. I’ll be at the Internazionale Festival again this year in Ferrara in early October! This time, though, instead of a talk, I’ll be giving a three-day workshop on making comic strips. It should be really fun! Info about the workshop is here. Additionally, I’m also setting up a book signing in Rome a few days after that. More news on that as it develops.
