PROJECT DESCRIPTION : A novel retelling the myth of Psyche in modern times. The story is written in poetry and set line for line for the female characters and verse for the male ones. For the cover, I had found this beautiful image Greg Spalenka had already done that was perfect for the book. Using a mockup of the entire cover that I created, I directed Greg to create the realy cool spine and flaps. The title type and all other blue type on the jacket is a fifth color metallic blue ink. On the front cover, the title, author name, butterfly, and skull are coated with a gloss varnish while the rest of the cover has a matte finish to it. The case cover is a solid black with a metallic butterfly on the front.
